Driving. A quick route
by car from the north or south is via the A20 Motorway which is some 18 kms. to the east.
By Train. The direct train from Paris
to Gourdon station takes about five hours, so it is possible to leave London
at breakfast and arrive here in time for dinner. We can arrange to meet you
from Gourdon station and return you for your homeward journey. Hire cars are
available at the station, but need to be pre-booked. [Considerable changes
have been threatened by SCNF - the French Railways
authority which has caused much protest. So it wise to check out the latest
timetables.]
Flying.
A new international airport The Brive/Dordorgne Valley Airport.
opened in June 2010 40 minutes north of here –
It is geared to have low-cost airline and connections to
all European capitals.
There is at present an easy link to The City Airport, London
and another to Manchester. More links are certain to follow.
We can advise on organising a multiple gîte holiday and guests can walk/motor/cycle from place
to place.
Here you will find a series of maps that indicate precisely
where we are.
